How the floor is set up
Noir is the floor we built for podcast and audio work. Wall treatment absorbs room reflections, an inverter AC keeps the room quiet and cool through long sessions, and the dark backdrop holds focus on the speakers (not the wall). For a 1-host interview format: single mic on a boom arm, single camera locked on a 50mm equivalent, 3-point lighting (key + fill + back). For a 2-host or panel format: dual mics, two cameras (one on each speaker), one wide camera, multi-channel audio interface so each mic records to its own track. Lumen is naturally lit and works well for video podcasts where the visual matters more than the audio, but if pristine audio is the priority, Noir is the right floor.
